The Nissan Rogue, a cornerstone of Nissan's lineup, has been a driving force in the American market. Accounting for over a third of Nissan vehicle sales in America, it consistently ranks among the top-selling U.S. models. In this review, we will showcase its strengths and identify one key feature that is absent from its model line.

2024 Nissan Rogue - What It Is and What We Tested
We tested the very top trim of the Rogue, called the Platinum Intelligent AWD. This model has a consumer cost of about $43K inclusive of shipping ad handling and dealer doc fees. Lower-cost Rogues are for sale starting around $30K, but we have not tested those. 

The Rogue is a spacious five-passenger crossover with a huge cargo space. Nissan didn’t do any of the dumb things many automakers do, like cut out your spare or drop Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You get everything you expect, and more.

For sure, the way a driver feels behind the wheel of the 2024 Rogue is its biggest strength. We’d compare its feeling to the Honda CR-V Hybrid. The Rogue is quiet, comfortable, and feels like it has ample power.

2024 Nissan Rogue - Right Size
The Rogue is on the larger side of its segment and that space is easy to feel when you drive it. The front seats are similar to many of the crossover SUVs in its class, but the back seat feels way bigger. However, the Rogue looks and feels smaller on the outside. That is the magic formula. 

2024 Nissan Rogue - Infotainment
With Google built-in, wireless Android Auto, and a head-up display, our Rogue felt modern, yet easy to operate. We are so glad that some automakers are still including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay so that owners won't have to shell out a monthly connectivity fee for Google Built-in.

2024 Nissan Rogue - Seats
What is it about Nissan seats that make them so comfortable? Like every Nissan we test, the seats feel like they built for grown-ups and are easy to adjust to find that prefect setting.

2024 Nissan Rogue - What’s Missing?
While the three-cylinder engine and CVT do offer a pretty good 31 MPG, the RAV4, Toyota Venza, CR-V, Hyundai Tucson,  Kia Sportage, Ford Escape, and Mitsubishi Outlander all offer electrified powertrains with dramatically better efficiency and power. Where is Nissan’s green vehicle powertrain, or powertrains, since most competitors now offer both Hybrid and also plug-in hybrid options? The Ariya we recently tested was fully 50% more expensive than this Rogue, so directing shoppers to the battery-electric vehicle in the corner is not the solution America wants right now. Nissan needs to bring back its hybrids pronto if it wants to stay in the conversation. 

2024 Nissan Rogue - Conclusion
If you are shopping for a gas-only five-passenger crossover SUV for daily general-purpose duty, the Rogue should be on your short list to consider. It has a lot to offer and makes no mistakes.

I bought a 2022 Rogue Platinum and like the car, one problem is with the blue tooth microphone being in the roof center console. The passanger has to raise their head and almost yell to be heard by a caller. The driver can be heard just fine, this becomes annoying when in the car with my wife and the caller keeps saying I can't hear. her

I have a 2023 Platinum Rogue and absolutely love it! I love the mileage, the heads up and the charging pad for my iPhone. This car has the best interior lighting than I’ve seen in a very long time. The keyless entry is also a plus! I love the xtra large gps and info-unit. However, I agree that the speaker for the phone is lacking on the passenger side of the vehicle. I love the leather seats but don’t find them very comfortable. I also am not happy with the cruise control as it can only be used with the lane option.

Hi; to set up the cruise control without the lane option, you have to keep your finger on the cruise control button for a few seconds. Then you will have your basic cruise control function. Good luck.

I have a ‘21 Rogue Platinum version. One thing I don’t like is no cooling seats. It’s the Platinum version why no cooling seats?! Also no cargo cover. It’s the top of the line. Why should I have to pay for a cargo cover? The seats are fabulous incredibly comfortable and such a quiet ride. I also LOVE the panoramic roof

Every 10,000 miles or 12 months it's required to check the CVT fluid, transfer case oil, differential oil. None are do it yourself checks. So every 10.000 miles you'll be paying the dealership a few hundred dollars. If any of those components fail during warranty period and you don't have record of the service, warranty may not cover the repair.
