The 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid will offer buyers added luxury and the price is the same as the Ecoboost 2.0 turbo model.
Shoppers for a 2013 Ford Fusion no longer have to make a choice between amenities and incredible fuel efficiency thanks to the new Fusion Titanium Hybrid. The Titanium Hybrid will be a new trim level and the Hybrid SE Fusion will continue to be offered. It should be noted that the 2013 Fusion Hybrid SE is now about $1,500 less expensive than the outgoing Hybrid and has a higher level of performance in most categories.
Luxury Hybrid Fusion
Ford is not really blazing a new train here with the 2013 Fusion Hybrid Titanium. The Fusion’s Marketing manager, Samantha Hoyt, is quoted in the latest press release as saying ““Traditionally, car buyers have had to compromise when selecting between class-leading efficiency, premium amenities and value. The new Fusion Hybrid Titanium lets customers have it all.” However, this isn’t really the case. The Toyota Camry Hybrid has long been the class leader in this category and shoppers of hybrids have long known that the Camrys with a hybrid engine usually came two ways; either base, or loaded. Both are arguably a good value and hybrids with all the bells and whistles are nothing new. That said, it may be true in Ford showrooms.
2013 Fusion Hybrid Titanium Amenities
The 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid comes with much of the content most buyers of a near-premium compact/mid-size sedan would choose. This includes leather seating, an upgraded stereo in the form of an 8 speaker Sony unit in this new trim, and also the Synch and My Ford Touch system. At $32,995 this package will be very tempting to buyers looking for a premium hybrid with size big enough for a family. Interestingly, Ford is offering the Hybrid Titanium at exactly the same price as the Fusion 2.0 with the Ecoboost turbocharged engine. This might set up some heated discussions in the showroom between spouses shopping together.
The 2013 Ford Fusion line is very broad and will appeal to many shoppers of a car in this class. The Titanium Hybrid offers one more configuration that many will find hard to resist.
The Titanium Hybrid is priced
The Titanium Hybrid is priced the same as the AWD SE with the Ecoboost engine, which is pricier than the FWD SE with the Ecoboost engine.
