The new 2020 Subaru Outback, Forester, Crosstrek, Ascent, Legacy, and Impreza models have arrived. Here are the best year-end Subaru deals.

If you are thinking of buying a new 2020 Subaru Outback, Forester, Crosstrek, or Ascent, it could be a good time of year. With the arrival of the new models, automakers want to move out the remaining 2019 models quickly. If you don’t need that latest 2.4-liter Outback engine and huge touchscreen, the 2019 models are the best deal if you can find one.

If you are financing, the 2019 Subaru Outback remains the best deal with Subaru of America (SOA) offering 0 percent financing and no down payment on all remaining 2019 Outback models. This deal runs through January 2, 2020. This is a great deal but inventory on the 2019 models is limited. This offer also applies to all 2019 Legacy models sitting on dealer lots.

2019 Subaru Outback

On 2020 Subaru Outback models, (non-turbo) SOA is offering 0.9 percent financing now through January 2, 2020. You can lease a 2020 Outback for $249/Month on a 36-Month Lease (Standard Base model) with $2,449 due at lease signing and $0 security deposit. Now through January 2, 2020.

Subaru is offering the next best deal on the 2019 Impreza Hatchback, now with $500 in dealer cash in addition to 0.9 percent for up to 72 months. SOA is also offering this model with no money down through January 2, 2020. SOA is also offering a “Sign and Drive” lease on a 2019 Impreza 5-Door hatch for $229, for 36 months, $0 due at signing.

2019 Subaru Crosstrek

For those looking to lease, the 2019 Crosstrek Premium trim is available for $269/month, on a 36-Month lease $2,169 due at lease signing with $0 security deposit. The is $6 cheaper than the 2020 Crosstrek Base trim. Now through January 2, 2020.

Subaru is also offering some good year-end deals on all new 2019 and 2020 Ascent family haulers. SOA is offering 0.9 percent financing now through January 2, 2020. You can lease a 2020 Ascent for $319/Month on a 36-Month Lease (8-passenger model) with $2,999 due at lease signing and $0 security deposit. Now through January 2, 2020.

Subaru buying tips

Keep in mind you won’t ever see Subaru advertise cash incentives and discounts from the dealer. You also won't see a rebate offered and extra incentives from Subaru are extremely rare. And be aware that although Subaru advertises ultra-low payments, they often correspond to less-popular base models.

Dealers are not allowed to advertise lower prices for fear of hurting the brand (and resale values), you often won't see the best prices until you request a quote and begin negotiating. The specials Torque News quoted are for the Denver, Colorado area and specials from Subaru vary by region. Some areas of the country may have even better pricing.

The 2020 Subaru Outback, Forester, Crosstrek, Ascent and Impreza models are at dealers now, but the best deals are on remaining 2019 models.

It is really no problem getting a good deal right now on a Subaru. Just keep mentioning the multiple recalls on most of these models, and let the price lowering begin.
