If you are thinking of buying a new 2020 Subaru Outback, Forester, Crosstrek, or Ascent, it could be a good time of year. With the arrival of the new models, automakers want to move out the remaining 2019 models quickly. If you don’t need that latest 2.4-liter Outback engine and huge touchscreen, the 2019 models are the best deal if you can find one.
If you are financing, the 2019 Subaru Outback remains the best deal with Subaru of America (SOA) offering 0 percent financing and no down payment on all remaining 2019 Outback models. This deal runs through January 2, 2020. This is a great deal but inventory on the 2019 models is limited. This offer also applies to all 2019 Legacy models sitting on dealer lots.

Subaru buying tips
Keep in mind you won’t ever see Subaru advertise cash incentives and discounts from the dealer. You also won't see a rebate offered and extra incentives from Subaru are extremely rare. And be aware that although Subaru advertises ultra-low payments, they often correspond to less-popular base models.
Dealers are not allowed to advertise lower prices for fear of hurting the brand (and resale values), you often won't see the best prices until you request a quote and begin negotiating. The specials Torque News quoted are for the Denver, Colorado area and specials from Subaru vary by region. Some areas of the country may have even better pricing.
The 2020 Subaru Outback, Forester, Crosstrek, Ascent and Impreza models are at dealers now, but the best deals are on remaining 2019 models.

It is really no problem getting a good deal right now on a Subaru. Just keep mentioning the multiple recalls on most of these models, and let the price lowering begin.
