Starting this week, Tesla has begun producing Cybertrucks destined for customer deliveries. A drone flyover of Giga Texas also shows a new colored Cyertruck wheel, dozens of redesigned front castings, and a Cybertruck undergoing a water leakage test.
A new drone flyover of Tesla’s Texas factory has revealed several new and exciting information about the Cybertruck. The first and biggest news is the fact that Tesla has started customer deliverable Cybertruck production at Giga Texas.
The information comes via Joe Tegtemeyer who has insider sources at Tesla and frequently flies drones over the Texas facility. Joe wrote in his latest X post “Word at the factory is customer production of Cybertruck began earlier this week!”
This is certainly exciting and makes sense that Tesla has begun customer deliverable Cybertruck production at Giga Texas as the November 30 delivery date is now just a few weeks away.

This on its own is major news however, Joe has provided us with a bonanza of new Cybertruck information during his latest flight over Giga Texas.
The second exciting thing Joe witnessed at Giga Texas was a Cybertruck undergoing water leak testing at the facility. From the video he shared you can see Tesla employees working diligently to prepare the vehicle ahead of the water leak test.
We haven’t gotten the results of the water leak test however, so close to customer deliveries, we assume that the Cybertruck will not have any water leakage issues.
If you’re wondering why Tesla is doing water leakage testing so far in the Cybertruck’s development, the first reason could be that the EV maker has begun customer deliverable Cybertruck production and Tesla might just be trying to dot the I’s and cross the T’s.
However, another explanation has to do with the next pieces of Cybertruck news Joe was able to spot during his flight. Laid out in a parking lot, Joe was able to spot dozens of updated Cybertruck front castings.
These castings are noticeably different from Cybertruck's front castings photographed a few weeks ago. Last week, Tesla received a new shipment of a Cybertruck front-casting die and within a few days, Tesla appears to have put the new equipment to work and produced updated Cybertruck front castings.
It’s not exactly clear why at the last minute Tesla has decided to change the Cybertruck’s front casting however, the water leakage test might have to do with requalifying the vehicle after such a major change.
Finally, the last Cybertruck-related news is the appearance of new Cybertruck colored wheels. As you can see in the picture below, a release candidate Cybertruck is now rocking new colored wheels.
Although it’s difficult to spot details from a drone flyover, to be accurate, rather than having painted wheels, the Cybertruck appears to be sporting a black and silver colored wheel cover.
This is the first time such a Cybertruck wheel cover has been spotted and in our opinion, the subtle silvery edges of the wheel cover go well with the Cybertruck’s stainless steel body.
Thanks to Joe’s tireless documentation of Tesla’s Texas facility we’ve received all these Cybertruck updates in a single day. And we’ll be sure to keep you posted as we learn more about the all-electric truck.
Until then, make sure to visit our site torquenews.com/Tesla regularly for the latest updates.
So what do you think? Are you excited to learn that Tesla has finally started customer deliverable Cybertruck production? Also, what do you make of the new colored wheels and the redesigned Cybertruck front casting? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
