Owner of a Golden Tesla Cybertruck Says He Can No Longer Handle the Constant Harassment. He Adds, “I Tried to Trade in the Cybertruck, but Tesla Won’t Accept It”

A Cybertruck owner with a golden truck says he has to deal with constant hostility toward him and his family. His wife has stopped using the truck, and he says he wants to trade it in for another Tesla, but the EV maker has refused.

Kumait Jaroje is a Cybertruck owner from Worcester, Massachusetts, who says he and his family face constant hostilities simply for driving a golden Cybertruck.

Kumait adds that the harassment is affecting his wife and children, and now his wife refuses even to drive the Cybertruck.

Fade up with all the negativity, Kumait tried to trade in his golden wrapped Tesla Cybertruck and get another Tesla; however, he says the EV maker refused to accept his Cybertruck trade-in.

The Massachusetts Cybertruck owner shared his story on the Tesla Cybertruck Enthusiast group on Facebook.

Here is what he wrote…

“My family is being harassed just because we own a Cybertruck.

Since getting our Cybertruck, we’ve faced constant hostility—people making offensive hand gestures, yelling at us, and now this.

Someone even put a Nazi sticker on our truck. My wife and kids don’t deserve this. In fact, the constant harassment has scared our kids, and now my wife refuses to use the Cybertruck altogether.

Disagreeing with Elon Musk or Donald Trump is one thing, but harassing a family over a vehicle is completely unacceptable.

This needs to stop.”

Below his post, Kumait included a picture of his golden Cybertruck showing that someone had put a sticker on it calling him Nazi and with some expletives.

By the way, before we move forward you need to know that Tesla recently made something seemingly impossible, by making the Cybertruck looking cheap, using the Model X. How? Look at this fresh video from the Youtube Channel of Torque News.

 

Looking at the comment, most Cybertruck owners sympathized with his plight. Some wondered where Kumait lived to face this much hostility.

A fellow Cybertruck owner, Pedro Ferrer, asks…

“Where do you live? I am in Georgia, and I've had my Cybertruck since March and have only experienced a couple of rude hand gestures, which I laugh at because they've been from some people driving falling apart cars, so just really jealous people.

Now, the internet and social media are a whole other thing, but that is to be expected....”

In response, Kumait says the hate is not limited to online interactions.

He writes..

“I live in Worcester, Massachusetts. It got to the point where people are cutting me off sometimes and screaming out of their windows.”

Kumait adds that he tried to trade in his Cybertruck due to the hostilities; however, Tesla refused to take it back.

He writes…

“I tried to trade in the truck because of that, but Tesla said they won’t accept it!”

Looking at the comments, fellow Cybertruck owners advised him to ignore the sticker and keep driving his truck.

However, Kumait says he’s now afraid something more violent could happen to him.

He writes…

“It is not a 'be cool' sticker. It is someone accusing me of being a Nazi and telling me to buzz off. The truck got scratched many times, and I fixed it without a problem.

That ignorant mentality might have someone throw a rock at the truck next time if we don’t stick out and tell these freaks to stop.”

This is definitely not an ideal situation. However, some Cybertruck owners in the group suggest that he’s getting so much hate because Kumait wrapped his Cybertruck gold.

Others say they have not experienced this much hate driving their all-electric trucks and suggest that he consider getting a less flashy wrap.

Massachusetts is a liberal state and as such it is full of the "tolerant" types you would expect. They spend their time on social media getting fed shallow logic that induces their anger. If they could think critically for themselves for half a second they would see their hypocrisy. Hating on an electric vehicle when they are pushing everyone to the terribly inefficient and expensive things. Getting upset about unuelected bureaucrats auditing wasteful programs when they had no problem with unelected bureaucrats auditing them and stealing their hard earned income for those projects. Feel sorry for the dude who can't even buy a truck in peace with people around him that don't even know what to be angry about, they just angry and ignorant.

There is similar hateful intolerance in red states. I'm a liberal in Texas. I've had yard signs stolen, hate messages in my mailbox and parking lot confrontations. I know not to mention recycling, limiting my consumption of red meat and vaccine efficacy in a group setting. Oh yeah, and I drive an EV.

I've had similar experiences in my purple state. During the campaign our neighborhood had every Harris sign stolen two weeks in a row. After the election, someone dropped hateful leaflets on every driveway. I'm devastated by what's happening to my beloved country.

Ha! Good rejoinder, his virtue signaling likely is selectively applied. In fact, the next conservative who says rolling coal on a liberal is wrong will be the very FIRST one I've ever heard say the words.

There's a difference between "unelected bureaucrats" who have been vetted via federal guidelines versus an "unelected bureaucratic" (i.e. special government employee) who has hired further unvetted personnel and provided unfettered access to a vast array of sensitive government systems.

Paying taxes != stealing. If you dig deep enough, you will find these "wasteful" government programs prop up the local economy in varied ways. For example, USAID buying crops from American farmers, who now do not have that source of income. Or USDA programs to subsidize school lunches for American students. All federal programs should face scrutiny, using the very well defined procedures for grievances/redress. Not through the systematic dismantling of the federal government apparatus.

Fwiw, I don't agree with the harassment this guy is receiving over his purchase of a Cybertruck. Rolling my eyes and frowning is as far my actions (or anyone else's) should go. But generalizing the entire state over the actions of a few is not productive discourse.

I wish you had this much vitriol for what's happening in Washington DC right now.

There's so many questions to your comment, but honestly the politicians on both sides have shown no regard to doing what DOGE is doing. I think as a taxpayer that this should be a welcome change to the inefficacies and unscrupulous acts that our elected politicians have been padding their pockets with. Stopping payments is stopping the bleeding and then we can see where the money is going. This country is running on a deficit that is uncontrolled yet when you have politician who make $165k a year buying multimillion dollar homes it should make you wonder how that is possible when the standard citizen wouldn't qualify.
Is Musk the best guy for this job maybe not, but one thing he doesn't need is money and he's not related to any of the politicians so he isn't swayed to keep the money flowing. I'm sure programs will be reinstated and that funding will continue, but there needs to be some accountability to where our tax dollars go to and how much of it is legit and not padding someone's pockets. If all it does is ruffle feathers and puts them back on their toes, maybe we'll shave off some debt and bloat that we didn't need.
Is guy with his gold tesla should cry a little more. Buying a $100k truck and wrapping it in gold is just asking for attention good or bad.

Do you know anything about financial auditing? A genuine, credible audit takes time and follows specific procedures and guidelines. Musk and his adolescent techbros have none of the necessary expertise for an audit; they are just f*cking around and illegally acquiring private information.
And your notion that wealthy people can be trusted because they “don’t need money” is incredibly naive.

Some people are never going understand USAID was created by EX-CIA director Bush as a slush fund for US intelligence operations. Under the guise of NGOs, even mercenaries like Blackwater were funded through USAID.

The manufactured outrage by extremists pushes away moderate Democrat voters overall. This is why Trump won the election - yet the party just doesn't get it.

Going to war with Democrats who love the product, own the stock, and support the mission will continue to move votes.

Tha doge gang are not "auditing" anything. There is not one forensic auditor amongst these young guys. They are professional coders. You cannot "audit" an entire government department in 2 or 3 days. Now a 19 year old with no security clearance, previously fired for unethical and self serving behavior, has everybody's private data including social security numbers. That's what you should be concerned about. Musk and trump are simply bulldozing any agency they dont happen to like. The departments that have awarded mega millions in contracts to Musk will not be touched.

I don't advocate violence or vandalism, but Trump and company made these acceptable tactics. Pardoning the violent insurrectionists is just one example. It's hilarious that people who whined and shouted about "her emails" have no problem with an unelected billionaire and his posse of boys having access to personal information and making unilateral decisions about programs instituted by elected congresspeople. Those decisions will have grave economic impact on the world.

The first mistake is living in Massachusetts. Now if Elon Musk was helping Joe Biden you would get nothing but love. But since he is helping President Trump that's the hatred. Small minded people who only care about liberal woke anti American agenda are the ones who hates the truck. Those are probably the same people who are mad that USAID is getting shutdown.

I would be absolutely disgusted if anybody in Joe Biden's administration decided to cut aid to the poorest and most vulnerable people in the world... you know who else advocated for USAID for 20 years, including asking for MORE funding from Joe Biden in 2023? Marco Rubio... You seem to have it backwards... it's the current version of Republicans that have completely let go of their convictions to appease their wannabe dictator... free trade? Nope, now it's tariffs; reducing the federal debt? Nah, get rid of the debt ceiling; Stopping judicial activism? Nah, let's cheer on overturning decades old precedent; Puerto Rico become a state? Not with Trump in office; Back the blue? Sure, except convicted felons and people that beat cops with flagpoles on Jan 6th... the current MAGA version of Republicans are a bunch of hypocrites.

If they can afford a CyberTruck and afford to wrap it in gold ppf then they can afford to buy another vehicle while they offload the CyberTruck. Maybe if they took the wrap off they would get do much hate. We are living in a time where people are financially strapped along with the price of everyday goods rising. See some schmuck driving an overpriced toy with flashy colors will strike a nerve.

when I grew up in the 70's we were taught to aspire to and admire success. We have 2 choices as young people in this country. Take a paycheck, or take risk. People who take paychecks, and there's nothing wrong with that, 2 of my children are civil servants, but don't hate on people who take risk, and are successful. Without people like Musk, where's the money coming from to pay all the civil servants ??

I don't think you realize that Musk didn't create or earn anything in his life. The myth of the "bootstrapped" billionaire is part of the problem. Musk and Tesla haven't paid Federal taxes in 3 years. They are a parasite.

He doesn't live in Boston, but I suppose reading is too difficult for the red hats.
He lives in Worcester. While the Worcester county voted for Harris, there are plenty of red areas around there.
No state is a monolith and there are red voters in blue states and blue voters in red states.
But, smooth brains like to paint everything with a broad brush.
Also, it's objectively an ugly car and if you have $100K to blow on one, maybe pick something that isn't garbage on wheels.
