A father-son duo has built an impressive Cybertruck replica entirely out of wood. The vehicle, in addition to being fully functional and able to be driven at high speed, can also haul a Cyberquad replica which is also built out of wood.

The Cybertruck’s unique angular design has captivated the world. The truck’s unorthodox silhouette has been the source of countless debates with arguments erupting between people claiming it’s the ugliest car ever produced and, individuals who believe it's a bold and revolutionary design that stands alone in the derivative see of boxy design of all other trucks.

Whichever side of this argument you happen to fall into, one thing you can’t deny about the Cybertruck is that it has a unique design that garners attention. This is evident in the crowds the vehicle amasses wherever it goes.

A recent Elon Musk trip to the Austin F1 Grand Prix, driving a brand-new Cybertruck prototype with a white interior is a testament to this fact. Musk and the new Cybertruck prototype got swarmed by onlookers trying to experience the vehicle firsthand hand. This prompted Musk’s bodyguards to work frantically and somewhat aggressively to extricate the Tesla CEO from the mob the vehicle gathered.

This is one extreme example of the Cybertruck’s popularity. However, despite this immense interest, Tesla has yet to deliver the first Cybertruck to customers almost 4 years since its unveiling.

The Cybertruck’s delay has prompted enthusiasts from across the world to build a replica of the vehicle. One such replica made out of steel appeared in Russia. The craftsmanship involved in that vehicle was astounding.

However, a few days ago, a father and son duo from the US might have outdone the Russian Cybertruck replica by building an exact copy of the all-electric truck entirely out of wood.

The YouTube channel ND - Woodworking Art documented the entire build process in a video titled 100 Days Building Tesla Cybertruck For Mr. Elon Musk. In the 20-minute video, you can see the vehicle going all the way from the design phase to construction and finally a test drive with the father and son duo.

Initially, the owner built the Cybertruck’s frame by welding steel. Given the fact that the Cybertruck is devoid of any complex curves, the frame welding process appears to have gone without too much difficulty.

Following, every part of the Cybertruck, except for the lights and windows, gets constructed out of wood. This includes the doors, pillars, hood, wheels, functional tailgate, an extendable ramp for a wooden Cyberquad, interior parts, and even the Cybertruck’s angular seats get replicated using only wood.

The 20-minute video does not go into a lot of detail regarding the vehicle’s powertrain, however, despite being built almost entirely out of wood, the Cybertruck replica is shown being driven at high speed.

Given modern safety standards, the vehicle is extremely unlikely to hit the public roads. However, it’s still impressive to see human ingenuity at this scale.

Currently, this is all the information we’ve regarding the Cybertruck replica made out of wood. However, we’ll be sure to keep you posted if we learn more information about this vehicle or Tesla’s “original” Cybertruck.
