We have news from the Electric Viking that the Tesla Cybertruck is sold out until 2027. What are the factors that make this statement true? Let's go over this news and find out!
Tesla Cybertruck Sold Out Until 2027
According to The Electric Viking, the Tesla Cybertruck is sold out until 2027. That means about 5 years of waiting to get your Cybertruck if you order right now. Why is the wait time so long?
I wrote this article nearly two years ago, but with 2 million reservations, I think the Cybertruck is still sold out until 2027.
We'll go over that and more, now. By the end of 2022, Tesla will most likely start official production of the Cybertruck. Elon Musk said volume production may take until the end of 2023 and into 2024. He has also said that fulfilling all the deliveries may take until 2027.
Elon's timelines haven't always been correct - his original timeline on the Cybertruck was for 2021. The Electric Viking made his Cybertruck reservation on the first day that the Cybertruck was unveiled. It's not likely that the prices shown on the first day and order pages for the Cybertruck will hold. Supply chains and material increases in costs will make the cost of the Cybertruck more.
There are also issues with supply chains and raw materials being in enough supply. That is why there is such a long wait. That is the bad news.
The Good News
There is some good news though - Tesla has had time - extra time - to perfect the Cybertruck - like doors without handles, rear wheel steering, and video to the Cybertruck. This makes the Cybertruck much more practical than any other vehicle. Tesla has also made steer-by-wire on the Cybertruck and now uses a 48-volt architecture, which enables detaching the steering wheel from the front wheels.
Elon has mentioned that there will be a dual motor and quad motor version only. Having an electric motor for every wheel will give the Cybertruck some amazing handling. Elon Musk has also stated that the Cybertruck will have a number of post apocalyptic features.
Tesla will probably get rid of the single motor variant - update, Tesla will have the single motor variant in 2024. It makes sense to do this. A truck needs extra motors to get better range and to handle towing. Most people who buy a Cybertruck will be towing or hauling something around, most likely. Initial production will start with the 4 motor variant with a fast response control of each wheel.
Tesla has since start production with a tri-motor Cyberbeast and a dual-motor AWD that will get about 340 miles of range.
I think those that have ordered the tri-motor variant will get contacted to see if they want to switch to the quad motor variant. My guess for the cost of the quad motor variant will be between $90,000 and $100,000. That will put it out of the reach of many people, and hopefully the dual motor will be $70,000 or less.
I have a Cybertruck on order, and I am hoping to get the quad motor version. I am going to have to save up a lot of money to do this!
What do you think about the Cybertruck being sold out until 2027? Will people be able to change their order to a quad motor variant?

The only thing true about
The only thing true about this is the 'we have more pre-orders than we could fill in three years' quote from Elon Musk's Financial Times interview.
Except you didn't say where it came from or the actual quote or realize that Tesla has always opened the order books for higher-trim models before they've fulfilled the lower trim ones.
Unlike most Youtubers and
Unlike most Youtubers and other social media influencers who ordered the tri-motor for views. I preordered the dual motor as a daily driver, but I'm not paying $70k for a vehicle that's not guaranteed to last at least 10 years.
The model 3 was sold out for
The model 3 was sold out for 3 years before it started production but oddly enough not even 6 months into production you could order a model 3 and get it in 2 weeks.
Musk is a used car salesman. They may have 5 years worth of pre orders, but most wont amount to actual orders or sales. You can't trust a word that comes out of that man's mouth.
Cyberjunk by 2021. Lie

I guess you win because I got
I guess you win because I got clickbaited into this article and even commenting. But I don't understand how anyone thinks that the quad motor cybertruck will be anything less than $110,000. With 5 years of inventory pre-reserved and quite possibly the most hyped product in the automotive industry, there's no way that Elon is going to charge less than a Hummer launch edition. My honest guess is that the quad motor will start at least $130,000 and that many will be flipped in that first year for $300,000 or more.
So all those who signed on
So all those who signed on for the truck and put down $100, many, many mos ago, will definitely be the first customers in the queue to have an opportunity to purchase one correct? Pricing?
Elon is not really a
Elon is not really a visionary, it's his employees. Elon is a hypocrite. Wonder how his new 20's something girlfriend is doing and when she will have his 8th(?) child.
Tesla shouldn't be allowed to take pre-orders, they live off that money to make other ends meet. It's ridiculous.
Is that you Amber Heard....
Is that you Amber Heard.... Anybody who says Elon is not a visionary is blind or just does not like him
It's $100 for the pre-order…
It's $100 for the pre-order. Hardly any money to live off of. Even at a million preorders it's $100,000,000 which just went into R+D for the cybertruck. You have an IQ of a walnut.
