With the latest leaks of the Tesla Cybertruck, one use of it will be not only as a vehicle to haul things, but as a mobile power source. Here are the multiple ways to do that, including a secret way you might not have thought of.

Tesla Cybertruck - As a Mobile Power Source

The Tesla Cybertruck recently had some leaked images and information, and the most interesting part of it seems to be the 110 and 220 volt outlets in the back of it. These are stirring up questions about what they will be used for, as well as what the fourth round option below might be used for.

Whole Marks Catalog on X.com asks, "Is that thing at the bottom the air compressor, or some kind of hook?"

Beyond that, there are multiple ways you can use the Cybertruck as a mobile power source, and here they are:

1: As a mobile PowerWall

We're going to start with the great secret of the Tesla Cybertruck - it's a mobile PowerWall that is MUCH bigger than the standard PowerWall Tesla offers. I think the kWh on the Tesla Cybertruck will be anywhere from 120 to 150 kWh. The Tesla PowerWall has a 13.5 kWh battery. That means the Cybertruck is equal to about 10 Tesla PowerWalls. When you look at the cost of the Tesla Cybertruck, it might actually be cheaper to buyt it instead of a Tesla PowerWall for powering your home.

* A Tesla PowerWall costs about $10,000
* A Tesla Cybertruck will cost about $90,000 (price TBD)
* The average kWh used in a home per day is around 30 kWh. This means the Cybertruck can power your home for about 4 or 5 days.

That means it's a cheaper Tesla PowerWall and you can drive it and haul things around whenever you need to.

2: For Off-Grid Adventures

The Tesla Cybertruck will provide quite a bit of power for an off-grid adventure. Whether you are camping or taking a cross-country road trip, the Cybertruck will power everything you need, including cooking and refrigeration equipment. This makes it an ideal camping vehicle.

3: Mobile Workstation

The Cybertruck can be a mobile workstation for busy professionals. I have thought about moving to sea level from where I live here in Utah high up in the mountains, and I can see myself doing that once my children graduate high school. A Cybertruck with a camper add-on would be the ideal way to do this, and it would avoid having to buy an expensive home with a high interest rate right now. I would be able to work in it with a Starlink Internet dish.

4: For Events and Entertainment

Because the Cybertruck will have such a huge amount of kWh in its battery, it can be used for powering events like concerts for things like stage lighting, sound systems, food stalls, and more. It can also serve as a unique attraction in and of itself.

5: Sustainable Agriculture

Farmers and ranchers can use the Cybertruck to power electric fending, water pumps, and other equipment, which will reduce their reliance on fossil fuels. This benefits the environment and cuts operational costs in the long run.

6: Bidirectional Power - To Cut Power Costs and Earn Money

Using bidirectional charging, you can power the Cybertruck and charge it at night for a cheap cost because electricity costs much less during the middle of the night. Then, during the day, you can draw upon the power of the Cybertruck to power your home or anything you'd like - or even put power back in the grid. This can earn you money, assuming everything is set up for the Cybertruck to put power back in the grid.
