Maserati isn't developing a good track record when it comes to their vehicles being recalled. Sadly, it doesn't look like it is going to get any better in the near future.

Over the weekend, Maserati announced two new recalls covering a total of almost 50,000 vehicles.

The largest recall, totaling 39,381 vehicles, deals with the electrical system in the 2014-2017 Quattroporte, Ghibli, and Levante. The wiring harness for the seat may rub against metal points when adjusting the seat. This could cause the harness to short and possibly start a fire. Dealers will inspect the wiring harness and replace it. This recall is expected to begin on March 21st.

The second recall involves 10,879 Quattroporte and Ghibli from the 2014 and 2015 model years. The fuel lines in these vehicles that may leak fuel, increasing the chances of a fire. Dealers will replace the fuel lines at no cost. This recall will begin on February 28th.

If you have any questions on either recall, you are asked to call Maserati customer service at 1-201-510-2369. Mention recall number 349 for the wiring harness and recall number 339 for the fuel lines.
