Mopar has a new solution for an age-old problem. Now you can attach your mirrors to the Jeep body when you remove the doors on your Wrangler or Gladiator.
They say that “Necessity is the mother of invention” and it appears that Mopar is the father of it. Mopar is debuting a new kit to attach the side mirrors to the frame of the 2021 Jeep Gladiator and Wrangler when they take the doors off their vehicles. The new Mopar kit is factory-backed and intended to keep drivers safer when they take the doors, with attached mirrors, off. The new kit makes it easy for drivers to attach side mirrors to the frame. You don't hear many complaints about Jeeps, but the mirror problem has been an issue.
“Mopar offers more than 500 quality-tested, factory-backed performance parts and accessories across the entire Jeep lineup,” said Mark Bosanac, Head of Mopar Service, Parts and Customer Care, FCA – North America. “With our new doors-off mirror kit, Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator owners will enjoy an improved range of vision during their open-air adventures.”
Designed to Be Easily Installed
Mopar has been brilliant about working with Jeep and Ram to devise aftermarket parts that are engineered and tested to match original equipment. The new mirrors are designed to attach expertly and easily to the Jeep with minimal vibration. The nicest thing about the new kit is that no special tools are required. The mirrors can be installed with just a T40 bit wrench, which comes in the tool kit that is included in all new Jeep Gladiators and Wranglers.
True Rugged Jeep Design
The mirrors will fit all 2020-2021 Jeep Gladiators and the current model or 2018-2020 Jeep Wranglers. The new Mopar Doors-off Mirror Kit will sell for $295. It will be listed as Mopar Part # 82215331AB. Mopar has more than 200 different parts for the 2020 Jeep Gladiator and more than 200 for the current model Jeep Wrangler. The mirror kit is expected to be in high demand with the growing popularity of off-roading. The mirrors are designed with a break-away feature that prevents them from being damaged in tight spaces on the road or trail. In other words, the mirror shouldn’t snap off if you brush up against a small tree branch or something similar.
The Mopar factory-backed warranty coverage for the mirror kit and bracket includes two years/unlimited miles from date of purchase or up to the remainder of the new-vehicle’s warranty of three years/36,000 miles.
