As planning starts to ramp up, the sponsor of the Porsche Rennsport Reunion VI will use Laguna Seca's famed "Corkscrew" as a major part of its logo.
With Porsche enthusiasts across the globe waiting excitedly for more information about the 2018 Porsche Rennsport Reunion VI, the automaker has shed more light on the event to be held at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (Laguna Seca) slated for next Sept. 27 to 30.
2015 event attracks nearly 60K visitors
Last held two years ago at the famed Monterey Peninsula racetrack; the event drew nearly 60,000 visitors to the world’s largest gathering of vintage and recent Porsche race cars. The event also includes those who have designed, engineered or have driven them to victory in some of the world’s most famous car races. The Reunion will consist of the most extensive variety of historic racing Porsche competition models in the automaker’s 70-year history.
Chief among the details released this week was the Rennsport Reunion theme. The theme is featured in the event’s logo. It was designed by Studio F. A. Porsche in Zell am See Austria. The official logo for the 2018 event incorporates the famous Laguna Seca “Corkscrew” turn. The logo will appear on official communications, around the racetrack, as well as on some merchandise, including a limited edition timepiece by Porsche Design.
“By prominently incorporating the “Corkscrew” into the refreshed design, the feeling of motion and speed will carry the memories of this Rennsport Reunion far into the future. We thank our colleagues at Studio F.A. Porsche for their contribution to what promises to be the best Rennsport gathering to date,” Klaus Zellmer, president and chief exec of Porsche Cars North America.
Ticket packages for next September’s event have just gone on sale, along with options for camping and hospitality. General admission and paddock access are free for kids under 15 and under, as long as tickets have been purchased by adults.
Manufacturer happy with progress so far
“We are so delighted to be [further along] at this juncture in our preparations for Porsche Rennsport Reunion VI,” Gill Campbell, general manager of Laguna Seca, told an interviewer. The track is gratified it has been “able to launch ticket sales this early and to welcome all Porsche fans worldwide to get their tickets.”
For 2018, the Reunion has been expanded to four days. It will offer on-track competition for vintage racers; a Concours d’Elegance, access to Porsche driving legends, autograph sessions, and many other unique activities.
Beginning October 18, 2017, ticket packages, along with options for camping and hospitality, are available directly from Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, either by calling 831-242-8200 or online at One place to receive Laguna information. . General Admission & paddock access is free for children 15 years and under with a paying adult.

2018 event will offer vintage racing
Expanded to four full days for 2018, Porsche Rennsport Reunion VI will offer on-track competition for vintage racers, a Concours d’Elegance, access to Porsche driver legends, autograph sessions, and many other unique activities. An expansive Porsche corral with more than 1,400 cars, organized by the Porsche Club of America; numerous vendors selling auto-related memorabilia, and a Biergarten with authentic German food and refreshments, will be featured during the Reunion.
