America’s best-selling midsize sedan is receiving interesting upgrades you have asked for. See what additions you can expect for the 2020 Toyota Camry.
Every year we, meaning me and all the other car enthusiasts out there, wait to see what the new model year for our favorite brands will bring. Some years it is a full redesign complete with new body styles. Other times it is a refresh year, meaning a model will add a few new features that customers have asked for.
And, of course, there are times when nothing at all is new from year to year.
For the 2020 Toyota Camry, this will be a time when we see some key additions. One of these upgrades is a multimedia improvement that Toyota fans have been screaming about for years. And rightfully so, by the way.
Let us go back a couple years with the Toyota Camry.
The 2020 Toyota Camry will not be seeing a full redesign, and it makes complete sense why. The nation’s most popular midsize sedan was just completely changed for the 2018 model year. The changes were so incredible, in fact, that I had no choice but to trade in my 2015 Camry for a 2018 Camry XLE in silver. I love it still even after two years of ownership.
Apple CarPlay was added to the Camry offerings for 2019 and technology enthusiasts could not have been happier. It went over so well that Toyota even came out with an update that allowed 2018 Camry (and 2018 Sienna) owners to retrofit their cars with Apple CarPlay. Again, I have CarPlay now on my 2018 Camry and I also love that.
But what about those people who own Android phones?
Android Auto and 2020 Toyota Camry
Get to the good stuff already Jeff.
Android Auto is now standard on all trim levels in the 2020 Toyota Camry, and it can now join Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa as staples in the Camry fleet. It will be easier than ever for drivers to play their music, to make and receive phone calls, and especially to operate navigation functions.
I wrote a month ago that 2020 Camry would feature Android Auto and I was correct. I also wrote 10 days ago that Android Auto will be offered in the upcoming 2020 Toyota RAV4 and 2020 RAV4 Hybrid as well.
Yacht Rock - here we come 2020 Camry
If you are as addicted to satellite radio as I am, you will love this piece of news. SiriusXM is now standard across the board on every level of the 2020 Camry. Even the L grade has it.
Toyota is working hard to establish itself as a leader in multimedia technology, and this will be a good step. As a matter of fact, Toyota will be incorporating standard SiriusXM into all its models by spring of next year. Nice work Toyota.
Other changes coming to 2020 Camry
Look for two new trim level configurations this fall. First, the 2020 Camry TRD will make its way to dealerships this month. In a style similar to the all-new 2020 Avalon TRD, Camry TRD will combine adrenaline-pumping styling and performance to the Camry we all know and love.

Also, 2020 Camry SE Nightshade is a blacked-out version of the SE Camry we will be seeing sooner than later. Aggressive black wheels, accents and badging are the name of the game here. We have already seen this Nightshade in the 4Runner, Highlander and Sienna. Expect to see 2020 Corolla and Corolla Hatchback Nightshade models this year too.
All Toyota grade levels LE and above feature 3 standard USB ports. Now the entire family can charge their devices without disagreements over who gets to plug in next. Very exciting.
Fuel tank sizes for 2020 Camry are separated into 3 different classifications. The Camry Hybrids will have a 13-gallon fuel tank, the L has 14.5 gallons and all others come with 16-gallon tanks.

How about a CD player??? I
How about a CD player??? I looked at a SE, not there! May sound petty but it only comes in the higher-priced models or maybe an option pkg. I've held off on buying b/c of this deficit.
Question. My wife & I just
Question. My wife & I just leased a 2020 Toyota Camry SE and returned a 2018 Toyota Camry SE. She insists that the drivers side seat is lower or the dash is higher in the 2020. Look forward to your response.
