Roush upgrades are available on 2021 Ford F-150 XLT and Lariat trims and pricing starts at $16,475 above base vehicle price.
Several people had asked about whether they could get their new 2021 Ford F-150 “Roushed.” This of course is a verb that means to visit a Roush-authorized Ford dealer and get special Roush features added.
Just recently, Roush announced the 2021 upgrades available on the XLT and Lariat trims of the 2021 Ford F-150. Both Jack Roush and Jack Roush Jr. announced the changes in the video below.
In the video, Jack Roush said, “We’ve conquered asphalt and we’re coming for dirt.” Indeed Roush, known for performance racing, especially in Mustangs, has made quite a name in the pickup truck world now. Roush said, “Since 2013, we’ve taken our proven history in racing and have applied it to our off-road vehicles. It’s been said that life isn't meant to be lived in one place; so travel often, travel wide, and travel far. The 2021 ROUSH F-150 has been designed and engineered to allow you to carve your own path.”
Roush has upgraded trucks including the Super Duty over the years. And had 2020 packages available.
There was some anticipation for what Roush would do for the new 14th-generation F-150. Now that wait is over. Let’s look at some of the features of the 2021 Roush F-150.
For 2021, as expected with an all-new generation, the 2021 Roush F-150 has a completely new look. Most prominent is a widebody fender flares and an aggressive, sexy grille. The Roush name is emblazoned on the grille with integrated lighting to show it off.
This truck features a newly designed set of wheels wrapped in 33-inch General Tire Grabber A/TX tires. Also, according to information provided by Roush, there’s an upgraded 2.0 Performance Series Suspension system has been preset with 2-inches of front leveling for added clearance and a lifted look.
The Roush F-150 features a performance cat-back exhaust system that has been engineered for an aggressive sound. For a more personalized look, the standard graphics package includes Roush graphics placed on the doors, hood, roof and tailgate.
Some customers may opt for side slash graphic as well. The interior, as you’d expect, has special Roush-specific badging including floor liners by WeatherTech, Roush pedals and ta Roush Gauge Cluster, available only on XLT trims.
There’s a new wheel engineered specifically by Roush for the 2021 version. According to Roush, on each corner, the 20-inch satin gray Roush wheels and 33-inch General Tire Grabber A/TX All Terrain Tires give it an aggressive stance and outstanding off-road capabilities without diminishing on-road comfort.
Underneath its tough exterior is an even tougher 2.0 Performance Series Suspension system to handle any terrain while maintaining every day driveability and towing capability. The upgraded suspension system is pre-set to give the truck 2-inches of front leveling and has been specifically refined for the Roush F-150 and to support the larger wheel and tire combination. An optional, high-performance, 6-piston front brake package is available for those who want some additional stopping power.
The package includes ROUSH-branded calipers, rotors, and upgraded pads, that were co-developed with the experts at Alcon Brakes.
The Roush F-150 is built from either a 302A XLT or 502A Lariat Ford F-150 with your choice of 6 exclusive colors.
New for this year is the Ready Package which includes an off-road kit and Roush Console Vault. This package also includes the Roush Active Exhaust system. The mufflers have an integrated electronic valve that allows you to customize the sound of your exhaust with just a push of a button.
You can order a Roush F-150 through an authorized Roush dealer. Each build comes with a 3-year 36,000 mile warranty. The cost is $16,745 above base vehicle price.
Leave me your comments on the looks of this 2021 Roush F-150. I think it looks sexy and tough and adds a lot of distinction.
