Cadillac is the luxury arm of General Motors and over the past few years, this premium brand has returned to glory as one of the best luxury brands in the world. New models like the ELR and ATS have helped to bring new interest to the brand from new segments while the new XTS and redesigned CTS allow Cadillac to be a top competitor throughout the US market.

There were only 24 selling days for American dealerships in April 2012 compared to 27 days in April 2011 – a difference that caused a noticeable drop in sales figures for General Motors but when you look at the daily sales rate, GM was actually on a better pace in April 2012 than they were one year ago.

General Motors has just announced the early pricing figures for the upcoming 2013 Cadillac ATS and with a price starting under $34,000 with destination – the new ATS is the most affordable vehicle in the Cadillac lineup while also undercutting the uber popular BMW 3 Series by over $1,800.

General Motors has loosely discussed the possibility of building a production version of the Cadillac Converj – a luxury coupe based on the hybrid electric drivetrain of the Chevrolet Volt – but reports now indicate that the electric Cadillac will be named the ELR and it will arrive late in 2013 as a 2014 model year vehicle.
