A 6th gen Civic's automatic transmission does not have a serviceable filter unless you are rebuilding the transmission. It has a little screen on top where the solenoids are but they shouldn't get gummed up unless fluid has been getting dirty but I might check those next time.

The transmission does not have a 'pan' just a drain bolt, thank God.
