Fiat, just as any other auto manufacturer, is about to learn the stupidity of rejecting internal combustion engines.
The fact is, EV's are just not something consumers want now they have been forced to live with them for a few years. They are unreliable, expensive to maintain or repair, expensive to insure, and have horrific resale values. The reason they exist is because elitist jerks that sit in their faculty lounges and halls of government power, think the plebes should run around on bicycles and EV's, whilst they jet around on their G650 Gulfstream private jet then drive their 1,000hp Bugatti home from the private airport.
EV's are not cost competitive when compared to ownership costs of internal combustion engine powered automobiles. Their total energy requirement and CO2 footprint to source the materials, construct, power and dispose of these vehicles is far higher than an equivalent internal combustion engine powered car. That is a fact the fanatics just don't want to talk about...

Now that the free money era has come to an end, manufacturers are rethinking this folly as they gradually go broke trying to satisfy a very small group of fanatics in cushy government and NGO offices. They are not satisfying rational consumers.

Come back to reality and people can afford to buy what you are selling.
