I am not sure I agree gasoline cars like A8, SUVs would offer similar safety. That is because those massive engines again crush people to death in front accidents. Also, center of gravity of engine and gas tank may make cars tend to roll.

Again, it is an entire archictecture. Accessories may be added later. I would get a Model S any day over these monster combustion cars.
