I agree. I'd like to see more small displacement (2.0-4.0 litre) diesel engines offered here in the USA. The only thing I don't like is that most of what's being offered here is produced in China or SE Asia, which in itself isn't a bad thing, if that's the market it's supposed to be offered to. But for North American car buyers, I'd like to see something made in either the USA or Canada. It may cost more to purchase, but quality control should be better.
