I have an aluminum 2015 Ford F-150 XL 4X4 with the naturally aspirated 3.5L V6. I agree with Ret that there was no need to reduce power with the weight reduction, although this motor still provides plenty of power for what I use it for (daily driver with occasional trailer pulling). Decent fuel economy considering it's a truck.

If you were to frequently pull heavy loads I'd probably go with 5.0L V8, or the 3.5L EcoBoost, something with a wee bit more torque. But just for every day light use, with occasional towing, the natural breathing 3.5 V6 will be fine.
