I bought a 2015 XL supercab with the normally aspirated 3.5L V6. I put on aftermarket trailer brake controller and hitch. Sometimes I haul a 7x18 trailer and sometimes a smaller 5x10 trailer. The bigger trailer is a load, but the truck is up to it. At full GVWR and even a little more, the truck handles it fine. I do have to use manual override to keep it in the right gear, but the transmission never gets hot, and neither does the engine.

I'm curious to see how long the engine lasts. Wouldn't be surprised to see it go 300,000 or more.

My previous 1999 Ford had the 4.2L v6 and after 300,000 miles it never burned or leaked oil, and I was still on the original clutch.
