I think these days the biggest problem with CVTs is that they take some getting used to. I've driven a few and I do not particularly like them, just because the nature of the beast. I have not driven Honda's. It seems the CVT is the wave of the future, sometimes the market has to come around to design as opposed to vice-versa. My guess is with a little engineering ingenuity, a CVT can be made to be just as, "entertaining" as a standard automatic, or, "manumatic". I'm sure somewhere in the Honda Acura hierarchy heads will roll. In a way, for all manufacturers, none of which are immune from this type of thing, maybe it will act as a wake up call and result in better, "quality control" and in the long run make the industry better as a whole.
