Eventually a class action suit or similar resulted in transmissions being covered by Honda. Mine was before that. Honda also later offered an extended warranty to cover the trans issues. These were the first wave of 5 speed autos used on the Accord V6, TL and some other Acuras. Sorry to hear your Volvo is ill. Good luck.
