2016 Toyota Tacoma Full Photo Gallery and Video
Toyota released full photos of the 2016 Tacoma pickup today. The truck looks very beefy and tough. A quick walk around reveals no bad angles. The front, sides and rear all look well coordinated and of one theme. Even the new alloy wheels seem to augment the look. Toyota's choice of blue for the reveal was a good one.

2016 Tacoma Front View
In front the grill of the 2016 Tacoma is all new. It is a trapezoid trimmed in chrome with black accent inserts. To each side are new lights which look good. Large, but not overly so. The best addition to the look is likely the lower "Skid-bar" done in body color (blue in the photos). The lower air dam is also well constructed and does not look tacked-on as it does in many vehicles of this type.
New 2016 Tacoma Photos - Rear
The new 2016 Tacoma's rear tailgate is very highly styled. Maybe just a bit too highly. Starting at the top we see a great lip spoiler. There appears to be a lock next to the tailgate handle (yeah!). The word "TACOMA" is then stamped into the tailgate and recessed. Below that is a black, rather than body-color bumper. Surrounding the bumper on each side the rear quarter panel wraps around to hug the bumper. The full size spare is visible and the single exhaust leaves room for Toyota to add twice pipes to uprated trims.
Side View 2016 Toyota Tacoma
Along the sides we can see Toyota has kept the Tacoma's mirrors reasonably small. Great for 95% of owners, maybe a bit too small for those that tow often, though that can be rectified with aftermarket solutions (or by buying a Tundra which has giant mirrors on outboard arms). The best news is that there seems to be no plastic body-cladding. There are fender flares that protrude and seem to be added to the sheetmetal, but that is a practical way to make these parts which are often damaged.
In all Toyota has presented a safe truck. In TRD Pro and other off-road trims the truck will look even better.
