Giving the Xterra any kind of range as an EV would be exceedingly cost-prohibitive. The Detroit show is almost always about muscle and trucks, so unveiling he Titan XD there as their only new car of the show was smart marketing. The new Murano was unveiled last year and will flagship Nissan's crossover SUVs going forward - it's poised to win awards, and should.

Prototypes and concepts traditionally show up at the Chicago and New York shows with the alt-fuel ones hitting CES and LA.
