Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Makes NA Debut at Amelia Island

Lamborghini is staging the North American debut of the new Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance. Feast your eyes on this new beauty from the Italian supercar maker.

The global debut for the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce was in Geneva at the Motor Show last month. The beautiful new Italian supercar is now coming to the United States for its North American debut, which takes take place at the Amelia Island Concours d' Elegance today.

Due in showrooms this summer in the United States and Canady, the new Aventador in its Superveloce package is the top tier for the flagship Aventador model range. Engineers and designers behind the red beast sought to create the fastest and most emotional Lamborghini driving experience yet. They did this by taking the Aventador model and lightweighting it, boosting engine output, and improving aerodynamic performance for track focus.

The Aventador Superveloce launches from 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of more than 217 mph. This establishes the new Aventador Superveloce as the fastest and best-performing Lamborghini in history.

Engine output of the 6.5-liter V12 engine has been increased to 750 horsepower while weight has been decreased by 110 pounds. Weight savings comes from the removal of non-essential items as well as the lightening of remaining components. The infotainment, carpeting, soundproofing and front axle lifting system were all removed while lightweight carbon fiber is used in the production of most body elements and the single-piece racing seats.

At 5:30 pm local time tonight, the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce will unveil to a North American audience at the Oceanside courtyard lawn of the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island.
