World premiere at Shanghai Auto Show slated for BMW 6-Series

BMW released photos today of the stunning new BMW 6-Series Coupe to have its world premiere at the Shanghai Auto Show later this month.

The body design of the 2+2--which means comfortable seating for two plus two more seats for those whose only other choice was walking in the rain--who was said to be inspired by flowing waves, though to non-auto designer eyes, the 2010 BMW 6-Series might look more like a slimmed down and toned-up BMW 5-Series, minus the rear doors. The 6-Series Coupe is a two-door.

No specifics on which powertrains will be available for which markets have been announced but the photographs released are of a BMW 650i. Expect top-of-the-line suspension availability. BMW notes that adaptive LED headlights, the latest generation of the BMW head-up display and Bang & Olufsen High End Surround Sound audio will available on the 2012 BMW 6-Series Coupe.
