Lexus is 100% aware the engine they chose to use for the IS250 & GS300 years 2006 - 2012 has this issue.
Regardless of cause, Lexus has determined the only way to properly repair is basically replacing many components of the engine & all pistons... at a total cost of $7-10K.

Only challenge now is to see if there is a viable class action case being many owners have been and are starting to run into major problems due to the faulty engine.
