My 2010 Suburu Forester's engine with 100,000 miles just blew up! 6 weeks ago I had my car in the shop again because I kept smelling oil burning. I had some gasket replaced and it seemed like I was good to go. The smell was going away. I went on a 200-mile trip. Oil light never came on. The Check Engine light came on, then the oil light followed. Engine sounded weird. I pulled off the freeway immediately but it was too late. I am looking at having to get my engine replaced. Probably $4000 before it is all over.
