We have 2013 Subaru Outback with a 3.6R engine. I have noticed that they overfill the oil at the time of oil change. I have been checking oil every 1000 miles and have seen the level dropping. I have taken the car to the dealer and asked them to perform a oil consumption check. Car has 20,000 miles on it now. They are planning to change the short block next week. Will this solve the oil consumption problem ? Do I have any other options?
