No doubt about it, super low gas prices make the economic argument for an electric vehicle more difficult.
Keep in mind, most people buying a BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) aren't solely driven by economic factors. One huge reason to buy BEVs is to get off OIL.

The good news is that several vehicles will double range for the same price in the next 12 to 18 months.
