There is a similar issue with a block of 2016 Escapes - called "Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC)- Battery drain/no start. May be due to a cluster reset which is waking up the vehicle bus, causing a higher draw from the battery. May require the IPC to be reprogrammed. Just something to look into, maybe.
