Good thing Guberman didn't
Good thing Guberman didn't compare the Model 3, since his knowledge of same is quite bad - he claims the Model 3 has a much longer range than the Bolt. The Model 3 doesn't have a driving range, it has two driving ranges, the first is less than the Bolt and the second (at $9,000) option, is greater than the Bolt. Nor will the Model 3 "always" have an advantage because f superchargers. Well, may be THIS particular Bolt might never have that recharge ability (but it might be a future add-on) but I can guarantee Guberman that future Bolts will likely have a faster recharge and a whole lot more charging stations than Tesla can ever have - this should be obvious to anyone familiar with the EV world, in which all of the automakers will be using the CCS (SAE Combo) charging Protocol - this guarantees that there will be chargers on practically every corner. In fact, Shell Oil just bought a charging company so they can begin installing harging stations at their gas stations. All other oil companies wil be doing the same. This guarantees not only extensive coverage, which Tesla cannot hope to match, given their small overall market share in future years,
but also avoids Tesla's proprietary (monopolistic) charging network. Porsche has already installed CCS 350KW stations (vs Tesla 120KW) that can recharge more than twice as fast as Tesla's supercharger can.
