2018 standard range leaf doesn’t have an Advanced battery thermal management system like Volt,Bolt,Tesla, Ford Focus, Bmw . Those cars can cool the battery via active methods such as cooled liquid. I’d lease unless you live in a cooler environment. Just read about issues leaf owners in Arizona & California reported. Seems almost all Asian car companies rely upon outside air as the cooling mechanism. This doesn’t work well when the outside air is 97-120 degrees or the roads are hot due to heat island effect created by hot asphalt.
