My 50th Anniversary BRZ has
My 50th Anniversary BRZ has had radio issues since the 2nd month. The delayed audio ranges from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. Subaru claimed the July 2019 update would fix the problem but it made it worse. At 6400 miles, the radio changes stations when it feels like it. The Map screen changes to the Home Screen or Phone screen randomly. The Phone option decided to not find a contact that I call frequently from the car for 20 minutes and until I called another contact then it found the 1st contact. The latest FAIL is an error message saying my phone has an ERROR and needs to be replugged in to charge it. That message came up repeatedly in 1 day. Subaru agreed to provide a loaner while they tried to duplicate the problems. When I arrived at the dealer for my 7:30am aopt, there was no loaner. I was told that I would get a call as soon as the loaner was returned and status on my car no later than Noon At 1:30pm I called Corporate to report that their dealer had kidnapped my car, was not reachable by phone and either Corp resolve my problem or I turn in the theft to the police. 20 minutes later, the dealer texted that they could not duplicate the problem and I should take videos next time the problem happened but I could pick up my car.. I tracked down the Service Manager, sat him in the car and duplicated 1 of the numerous problems. He told me to get an iPhone instead of my Samsung. The audio issues w this head unit are well documented on other models. I suspect the 50th Anniversary head unit is the same POS that is on the Cutbacks since this is a different unit than the standard BRZ. Its bad enough that I can't get the GPS to update and recognize 5 year old businesses or my home address but to be told to buy a new iPhone because Subaru cant write software is an INSULT!!! Where do we sign up for the class action lawsuit?
