I own a 2013 Nissan Leaf that lost its 4th bar last Labor Day. I have approximately 35k miles on the car. So, I now charge up to 65-72 miles each level 1 charge that I do at home in my garage. My husband and I consider our two vehicles as a “fleet”, so as a semi-retired guy his SUV stays at home a lot while my Leaf takes me to work and back 5 days a week and runs all kinds of errands. Recently we had our very first serious bout of range anxiety when our errands took us a little farer then we had ever pushed the Leaf before. I know it is time to look for battery options. After learning of the substantial increase in price for a new battery I looked for alternatives and found Fenix Power. I liked the idea that they may use the niche group of old Leaf owners to perfect their business model, so I signed up. I feel like a pioneer in a growing industry, which is part of the fun of being a Leaf owner. I hope this new idea pans out.
