My WRX had rod failure while being serviced at a shop. After presenting the claim, Subaru denied the claim because it was not presented to an authorized Subaru Dealership. Why would you take to the Subaru dealer that ultimately caused the issue. My understanding is 100% reimbursed if the work is done at the Dealer and percentage of reimbursement at mom and pops shop. Is this correct? Good luck!
