What About a Two Door Coupe Tesla Model S?

It’s too late for the first generation Tesla Model S to get another variant, but I am hoping Tesla might consider a two door coupe variant for the next one.

In my opinion unless Tesla considers a two door coupe Model S, a custom shop would be left to the task, like they build Model S hearses.

Ares Design, the Italian coaching house, is the only well known reputable who has published renders of a drophead coupe they could build, and it’s beautiful. However, you can tell it’s an expensive proposition probably in the Bentley price point stratosphere.

Such a car could compete in many segments from Dodge Challenger, most likely up to Mercedes S63.

Speaking of Bentley and drophead, other than Smart and Fiat having removable panels or partial collapsible tops for their open air BEV micro cars, Bentley is poised to make the first BEV full fledged production convertible.

It would be nice if it was a Tesla instead. What is your opinion? Please, share your opinion in the comments section below. Do you think Tesla will make this happen and if yes will it be based on Model S or Model X platform?
