I'm having the same trouble with my 2018 Outback. I garage the car overnight, leaving the tailgate closed. But in the morning the tailgate has been raised and the battery drained. This has happened three times since early April of this year when I bought the car. The local Subaru dealer has never heard of the problem.

I plan to try locking the car before leaving it for the night; the key fob does not raise the tailgate when the car is locked.
