Truck Buyers Lining up for Refreshed 2020 Toyota Tacoma Release
The Toyota Tacoma is already one of the world’s toughest, most dependable trucks on the planet. Now its 2020 entry is ready for release, complete with a wide range of new updates and improvements.
What is new for the 2020 Tacoma?
This is a year that Tacoma enthusiasts have been hoping for. Although not a complete redesign, the 2020 Tacoma will have enough new features that truck lovers have been asking for.
No stone left unturned. No 2020 Tacoma grade level left untouched as well. Every trim level of the world’s most popular midsize truck will see a host of upgrades. Even the SR entry level receives an updated front grille, new taillight design and intermittent wiper.
“I’m ready for the 2020 just for Android Auto and larger screens alone.” Said one of my excited Torque News readers.
Every Tacoma truck will feature Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on a larger 7-inch or 8-inch multimedia touch screen. The SR will receive the 7-inch size while every other level gets the 8. These are minor upgrades for some, but essential to many more people who have been calling for technology updates on the Tacoma for the last few years. I should know. My inbox is like a Toyota suggestion box. I hear them all and these are very, very common requests.
“My wife is 5’ and I’m 6’4”. Need the power seat!” Commented a loyal subscriber to my Toyota “toyotajeff” YouTube channel.
I get this comment a lot. Tacoma owners have had a power driver’s seat on their wish list for the last decade, and they will finally be rewarded. All 2020 Toyota Tacoma trim levels SR5 and above have a standard 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat.
2020 Tacoma offers new cameras you will like
“Love the new cameras. Now Tacoma is playing with the big boys!”
What this Torque News reader is referring to are the new Panoramic View and Multi-Terrain Monitors that will help you see better on your new 2020 Tacoma. These new cameras will allow drivers to see in front of, along the sides of, behind, and even underneath their truck. This will especially be useful when off-roading, as well as everyday functions like parking in a crowded parking lot.

“Army Green! Army Green! Army Green!”
I am still trying to figure out the context of this comment, but I have a hunch this person is talking about the new TRD Pro exclusive color Army Green. The 2020 Toyota Tacoma will be offered in 4 color choices – Super White, Midnight Black Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic and Army Green.
It has become Toyota tradition to feature a new exclusive color for its TRD Pro models, and it can also be found on the 2020 Tundra, the 2020 Sequoia and the 2020 4Runner.
Other important upgrades are smart key push button start on 2020 Tacoma models TRD Sport and above (with automatic transmission), new front grilles and taillight designs, updated wheels and LED headlights for certain grades.
Now it is time for your thoughts on the 2020 Tacoma
What do you think about the improvements coming for the 2020 Tacoma? Do you plan on buying one? What features do you find most appealing?
