One of the main reasons I've
One of the main reasons I've couldn't buy a hybrid so far it was because I really couldn't stand the bad handling , inefficient breaks and poor performance of Toyota Prius. I've tested and gave a chance to even Toyota Harrier Hybrid , Lexus 450H and all of them have disappointed me when you are talking about the responsiveness of the car, handling, the fun to drive which was nowhere. So I had to get stuck to my old BMW X3 which gave me all I has been expected from a real car.
Even though, my luck was that a few month ago I had the chance to drive the newer Honda Hybrid System which you can find in the 2014 and up models of HONDA VEZEL HYBRID and HONDA FIT. I was surprized how great performance and economical these just 1.5 l engine hybrid cars are and to be honest the speed, handling , efficient breaks and regenerative system on these Hondas are way more advanced that the ones ( similar year built ) from Toyota. So please don't keep talking and compare some OLD technologies from 2005 or so ... it the ones from 2014 onwards are the ones on the road at the moment. If you want to know exactly what I am talking about please drive the newish Honda Hybrid which has got what is called the advanced SPORT HYBRID System , plus lots of technology used by Honda used in 2013 and up models of hybrid cars has borrowed lots of technology from their Formula 1 cars. They have as priority the perfprmance and fun to drive on top to being economical. ...Now I finally could sell my BMW and bought instead a 2015 Honda Vezel Hybrid which could give me the best of the both worlds: the economy of a good Hybrid car and the performance and fun to drive I couldn't find in any of the Toyota Hybrid...So for me , the "superiority" of Toyota Hybrid cars versus Honda Hybrid is a misleading statement based on some very poor statistics which isn't taking in consideration all.the parameters which define a good car for a customer who appreciate in cars more that just " km/ l " statistics. To be clear, I consider both these two companies, Honda and Toyota as great cars manufacturers. They have been the top ones for years. They are doing a great job and they have got two of the best hybrids technologies in the world. They just target two diferent kind of customers. The customers who wants a more refined and performant car should stick to Honda
. The ones interested in just a very economical and reliable car can choose ether one between the two. Good luck. G
