I am the owner of a 2010 4DHB IV Prius that has stopped in the middle of the highway twice in the past six months. I bought it in 2015 and this has only begun happening in March. I can drive past one stretch of road multiple times, but twice now on this same stretch of highway the Prius picks something up and the ABS takes over, stopping the car on a dime. I am unsure how to sell this car ethically now, but will be upside down if I trade in to a dealership. I'm not sure what to do. The dealership maintains there is no issue and similar accounts in Consumer Report were treated the same by corporate Toyota. But it is obviously a safety defect of the automatic braking system and not an isolated incident. Any help? Thank you.
