The 2020 Subaru Crosstrek Gets A Long List Of Upgrades, Pricing And Full Details

The 2020 Subaru Crosstrek arrives later this year will a long list of upgrades for Compact SUV Shoppers. Here are the full details.

Subaru announced pricing and new features for the 2020 Crosstrek model change and the list is long for compact SUV shoppers. This is year three for the second-generation Crosstrek and it looks the same on the outside, but don’t be fooled by appearances. Subaru Corporation added a multitude of new features for the 2020 model year.

The Base Crosstrek 2.0i trim ($23,155 including destination) a $250 price increase over 2019 models, still comes equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The manual gearbox could be going away soon because Subaru wants EyeSight driver assist technology standard across the entire lineup for consumer safety. But for now, you can still get it on Base and Premium trims. All Crosstrek CVT automatic models now come with standard EyeSight with Base CVT pricing starting at $24,505.

An automatic climate control system is now standard on Base and Premium trims. Redesigned rear lights are new on all models. The Base trim also gets a new front console USB input port.

Subaru is adding a Rear Seat Reminder on all Crosstrek models for 2020 with a CVT and is designed to help prevent child and/or pet entrapment by alerting the driver to check the rear seat before exiting the vehicle.

The system operates and locks the doors when the shift lever is moved from Park to Drive position and the vehicle’s speed exceeds 13 mph. A new collision detection power door unlock function (all models) automatically unlocks all the doors and rear gate if the vehicle is subjected to a strong collision.

Exterior color changes for all 2020 trim levels include Magnetite Gray Metallic replacing Dark Gray Metallic, and Pure Red replaces Venetian Red Pearl.

The Premium trim adds the same upgrades as Base models and new for 2020, Crosstrek Premium gets new Dual front USB ports, and rear console dual USB charge ports. Premium models offer a new 6-way power driver’s seat, illuminated front console storage tray, and keyless access with push-button start as new options.
