Five reasons I would not consider it are #1- ground clearance as I need more than just AWD, I need the clearance in the snow and the Legacy does not offer that. #2 is that the new Nissan Altima also comes AWD, and in the recent comparo (both base engines), the Nissan was faster with better fuel economy so Subaru engineering can do better. #3- uninspired CVT, #4- boxer engine that will always weigh more, and be more complex with two head gaskets predisposing to more mechanical issues, and #5- first year intro with new design, better to wait and get a track record, and not be the beta tester for the company.
