I initially reached out to Toyota about my mother's 2013 pearl white Scion in December 2017 about peeling paint. I had read numerous complaints about this model and color having issues with peeling paint but could not get assistance with what I thought seemed like a systemic problem. I took her car to Bobby Rahal Toyota in Mechanicsburg, Pa for their expert evaluation. No assistance was offered in seeking help from corporate. After that, I contacted corporate myself and ran into another dead end. The car was almost bare as all the paint was off the top and along the side and down the back. My mother gave up on Toyota and took her bare car to get it repainted. Of course, shortly after she got her car painted, Toyota published a recall. We submitted her receipts and required paperwork twice and were given the run around that her receipts were not on the correct letterhead. She is retired, on a limited income, and the $5,000+ paint costs were/are a hardship. I am requesting immediate attention to my mother's case.
