I have a 2008 Highlander with the paint peeling and blistering. I contacted Toyota Mfg. and was told I needed to take the vehicle to someone with 'paint experience'. I took the car to the dealer and got the body shop guy to look at it. He stated I might have a claim, but he is unable to do anything since it is not part of the recall. Told me to call Toyota again....circle complete...Toyota Mfg. will contact me if it becomes part of the recall. They stated they would reimburse me if I get it repaired, even if I do not own the car anymore.
