I am the original owner of a 2010 RAV4. The Black Forest PEARL paint color was model specific to the RAV4 at the time. Unfortunately the paint on my RAV also peeled. I called Toyota in August of 2020 and was told the program only covers Super White or Blizzard White Pearl colors this time. No reimbusement would be approved at this time if I elected to have the defective Black Forest PEARL paint on my RAV4 corrected at this time. WOW...
I have been a long time, loyal happy Toyota customer. Their quality, how they stand behind the product and how well they support their customers kept me safely rollin'. My RAV fit all but, one of the requirements for the Toyota's paint campaign correction program, it wasn't WHITE. Should have been easy, I had my estimate and documentation ready to submit. Then I called the always couteous Toyota Customer Service representative to assist me! Uhhhhh. Wake Up! Toyota's representative must have read it straight from a script. The representative did not provide me with any support or alternative assistance. What, whom or how to get their defective peeling paint product repaired on my RAV4. Dissappointed and not wanting my RAV to peeI worse I chose to
Suck-it-up-Buttercup...
The RAV4 was repaired professionally at my expense but, having peace of mind knowing it will no longer suffer the nakedness of peeling paint or prime to rust out, is priceless!!
Question, any additional colors with a PEARL paint coat peeling?
My goal, to get the color BLACK FOREST PEARL added to the campaign!
goRAVgo!
