Frenzied Fans May Make 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime Challenging to Find

The 2021 RAV4 Prime is one of Toyota’s hottest models – and it is not even here yet. Find out what fans have to say about the waiting game.

Are you ready for the newest RAV4? The all-new 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime should reach retail dealerships this summer and people cannot wait.

After all, this is the most powerful and quickest RAV4 to-date. 302 horsepower. A 0-60 time of 5.8 seconds, which makes 2020 and 2021 Supra the only faster vehicle in Toyota’s lineup.

Of course, we should address fuel mileage too. It IS a plug-in electric hybrid after all. This new RAV4 Prime has an estimated gas efficiency of 90 MPGe (gasoline plus electric rating). Combine that with an electric battery range of around 39 miles and you have a fantastic commuter vehicle.

People are excited for what is to come.

What you had to say about RAV4 Prime

A good part of the internet has been abuzz talking about the newest addition to the best-selling SUV in America’s lineup. One of my favorite YouTube channels (besides my own Toyotajeff channel) is Alex on Autos. I looked at comments from his viewers and it surprised me just how popular this RAV4 Prime is going to be.

2A556FMJ said, “Wow it’s like Toyota read my wish list and checked all the boxes. Finally, Toyota gives us tech AND reliability.”

Anthony has Prime on his radar. “This has gone straight to the top of my next car short list. Well done Toyota!”

“I enjoy my Prius prime. Only filled gas tank once this summer. This new RAV4 is a consideration for an upgrade for me.” Commented Candycane2.

“302 hp on a Toyota RAV4 is really a surprise.” Added Bong Lim2.

Bolo is pleased with the new RAV4. “This looks so beautiful. This is now my new dream car!”

OB2 had this to say. “Man, this will sell. Hopefully there isn’t a huge premium over it. I’m definitely interested.”

“Looks Nice. Going to trade in the Prius Prime for the RAV4 Prime.” Said Ocean Medical.

Chunhaylee2 sees the hybrid landscape changing. “This thing is going to be a game changer for PHEVs.”

“Now this is the vehicle worth waiting for, I like the fact that hybrid (prime) vehicle will be faster.” Stated LNL2.

“Prime! It can’t come soon enough!” Exclaimed Benjamin (a viewer of my channel, and probably Alex on Autos too).

“Here in Canada with the early winter we are having and the expensive gas prices. I doubt they will be able to keep up with demand in the first year.” Wondered flakeu2.

Time for your thoughts on 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime

We are told by Toyota the RAV4 Prime will be available for retail sale in the United States in summer of 2020. That is all we can go on at this point. I have heard rumors it may be delayed a bit until fall but that has not been confirmed at all. Time will tell.

Will there be enough supply to fulfill the sure pre-orders and growing demand for this brand new RAV4? Last year there was an incredible frenzy to find RAV4 Hybrids for waiting customers and that is beginning to simmer down due to increased production. What course will RAV4 Prime take?
