The only part of the hitch you see behind my Highlander Limited is the hitch itself. The rear panel was lifted about a 1/2 inch as it sits on the hitch. Only loss is the sensor for the rear hitch. When adding the bikes on the bike rack... the rear sensors advise braking... I ignore the warning as it is just the bike interfering when in reverse. Again... the entire frame of the hitch is hidden :-)
