I have a 2016 Toyota Highlander XLE. It is not listed in the recall but my car does some of these exact same things. Spits and sputters until it eventually stalls on me going down the highway/road. And it always does it as soon as I fill my car up with gas and for about 75-100 miles after. I bought my car brand new in 2016 and this started about 2 years ago in 2018. My husband has tried everything he knows to fix it but it is still doing it.
